Blueberry Atta Cake


Today, September 29, is World Heart Day. The World Heart Federation marks this day to create awareness about cardiovascular disease.  It is perhaps a co-incidence that one of our auhtors sends us the picture of a heart-shaped cake she baked, and here is the recipe. Made of atta, this one is high on the health quotient too. Wishing you all a happy and healthy Heart Day!

1.5 cups of Wholemeal flour (atta), 1/3rd cup sugar, 2 eggs, 1/3rd cup of melted butter, 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of blueberries, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/4th teaspoon of salt.
Mix the ingredients well and make sure to mix the blueberries in a spoon of atta and then fold them properly in the batter.
Pour batter in a heart shaped pan greased with one drop of oil.
Preheat oven to 175 degree Celsius. Bake for 30 min or until a fork pierced in cake comes out clean.
