This festive season Emirates adds cheer to the skies with a special Christmas Menu

If the firsts thing that come to your mind when you think of Christmas are Turkeys and cakes and a yummy Christmas spread, then you will find this a delicious read.

Emirates, has for the first time, added a special festive menu across all classes and they feature traditional festive meals! Let us take a look at some of the lip smacking delicacies on offer.

The special menu will be in addition to the wide variety of cuisine available on board and are available for customers travelling from Dubai to Australia, Europe, the United States or the United Kingdom and will be served throughout December.

Those travelling in First and Business Class will start with a meal fit for a king-  poached king prawns with Marie Rose sauce and fennel with lemon and herbs. Next comes the main course of rolled turkey buffé served with chestnut stuffing, cranberry jus lié, pumpkin mash and brussels sprouts with turkey rashers and cream.

A variety of yummy desserts are available on the different routes including Chocolate Pudding, Chocolate & Chestnut Torte and Yule log. The Yule Log cake which has a French pronunciation of bûche de Noël is a traditional Christmas dessert and is essentially made of sponge cake to resemble an actual Yule log!

Customers travelling in the Economy Class can enjoy rolled turkey buffé served with cranberry jus lié, mashed potatoes, chicken sausage and seasonal vegetables. For desserts, there is Festive Chocolate Pudding with spiced ginger custard.

As a special treat, First Class Customers, can look out for luxury hot chocolate handmade with 100% Valrhona Chocolate ( a premium French Chocolate made purely from cocoa beans) and blended to perfection by chocolatier David Franco.

Fliers can also get into the holiday spirit before the flight departs at the six Emirates lounges in Dubai International Airport. Traditional sweets such as Basler Leckerli gingerbread cookies (the popular Swiss gingerbread), Christmas cake and Stollen cake (fruit bread made of dried fruit and often covered with icing sugar) are on offer. The traditional roasted turkey is being served in the First Class lounges.

The airline also has gone all out to ensure young flyers get the most of their holiday travel experience. A special kids festive menu is available with roast turkey, sweet potato mash, carrots and peas, as well as a candy cane and Emirates’ Little Travellers chocolate buttons as an added treat.
